Newspaper

Before I joined the marketing world, I worked as a reporter and editor for a newspaper based in Moscow, ID. Because it was a small paper, I had the opportunity to cover just about every beat, including business, crime and courts, city and county government, sports, arts and entertainment, and education. I wrote about everything from hard news to light features. Here are a few of the stories of which I’m most proud:

WSU student drowns in Seattle hotel pool

No injuries in 4-building Pullman blaze

An everyday hero

Here are a few examples of editorials and columns I’ve written for the newspaper:

To live and be governed with integrity (Nov. 2016)

Catcalling is not a compliment (Aug. 2015)

Our comfort zones are overrated (May 2015)

Coca Cola ad backlash downright silly, ignorant (Feb. 2014)
