Thunderbirds

It’s been years since I’ve seen an air show or felt the raw power of an F-16 rattle in my chest. Last weekend I watched the United States Air Force Thunderbirds perform in Kalispell, Montana. What an incredible performance. Rolling, diving, flying upside down, all in perfect formation.

And let me tell you, even though those jets are huge, they are still sneaky little buggers. Several times during the performance, one jet would break away from the pack and then come zooming right in front of the crowd, causing some people (namely me) to jump out of their skin a bit. I was even warned ahead of time about these antics, and they still got me!

I may have lost some hearing (WHAT???), but it was definitely worth it. Thank you to the Wiegert family for letting me tag along!
